Denmark Announces The Cancellation Of All Covid-19 Prevention Measures

After the United Kingdom and Singapore, another country will "completely unblock"-this time, it is the Nordic country Denmark. Recently, Denmark announced the abolition of restrictions on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, becoming the first EU country to "return to normal". The Danish Ministry of Health claims this is due to the high vaccination rate, with more than 83% of people over 12 years of age fully vaccinated. In the past week, Denmark recorded an average of 500 new cases every day. The Danish Ministry of Health stated that COVID-19 no longer poses a "serious threat" to society. Currently, people no longer need to wear masks and show "health codes" to enter public places. Danish Minister of Health Magnus Hernik said in a statement: The epidemic has been brought under control and our vaccination level has reached a record level.

It is understood that Denmark began to implement COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures in March 2020, and launched a "health pass" in the first half of this year. With the continuous advancement of vaccination, Denmark has gradually relaxed its epidemic prevention restrictions. Starting from August 14th, there is no need to wear a mask when taking public transportation in Denmark other than by plane. From September 1st, all places except nightclubs will no longer require a "health pass"; from September 10th, this requirement will also be cancelled for entering nightclubs.

The WHO stated that the current global epidemic situation is critical and urges Denmark to proceed with caution. The Danish government also believes that strict hygiene measures must be taken while returning to normal life. The Danish Ministry of Health said it will closely monitor the number of hospitalized people and conduct meticulous tests to track the virus.
